This notice explains how the Centre for Global Health Intelligence and Innovation (CGHII, "we", "us") collects and uses personal information through this website, and the rights you have over it. We are the controller of the personal information described here.
If you have any questions about this notice or how we handle your information, email us at info@cghii.com.
What we collect
When you contact us. If you use our contact form, we collect your name, work email address, organisation, the topic you select and your message.
When you download our research. If you request a policy brief, we collect your name, work email address, organisation, your role if you give it, and your agreement to be contacted.
When you browse the site. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so that the site can be delivered securely. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.
How we use it, and why
- To respond to your enquiry. We rely on our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, or on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To give you our research and follow up about it. We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the download form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us or replying to any message from us.
- To keep the website secure and working. We rely on our legitimate interest in protecting the site and its visitors.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We keep the number of organisations involved to a minimum. Only two service providers process information on our behalf:
- Cloudflare hosts this website, protects it from attacks, and passes the details you enter in our forms securely to our email system. It does not keep a copy of your form submission.
- Microsoft provides our email through Microsoft 365. Form submissions arrive in our own mailbox and are stored there.
All fonts and files on this site are served from our own website, so your browser does not connect to any other third party when you visit.
Some of these providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses. We may also share information where the law requires us to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless they lead to a working relationship, in which case we keep them for as long as needed for that relationship and our legal obligations. We keep research download details until you withdraw your consent, or for two years if we have not been in touch in that time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict or stop using your information, or object to how we use it
- ask for your information in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it
To use any of these rights, email info@cghii.com. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
