Accessibility statement

Last updated: October 2026

We want everyone who visits this website to be able to use it, whatever device they use and whatever their needs. Health is for everyone, and so is information about it.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the standard expected of public sector websites in the United Kingdom and widely used elsewhere.

What we have done

  • You can use every page with a keyboard alone, with a visible highlight showing where you are.
  • A "skip to main content" link at the top of each page lets you bypass the navigation.
  • Text and background colours meet WCAG contrast requirements.
  • Pages use clear headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate them.
  • Every form field has a visible label, and errors are announced to assistive technology.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives.
  • Pages adapt to small screens and can be zoomed to 200% without losing content.

Known limitations

  • PDF documents. Some of our research publications are PDFs designed for print and may not work fully with screen readers. If you need a publication in another format, such as accessible text or large print, email us and we will provide it.

Tell us about a problem

If you find anything on this website difficult to use, or you need information in a different format, please email info@cghii.com. Tell us the page and what went wrong, and we will do our best to fix it.

We aim to reply within five working days.

How we tested this website
